TIMES SQUARE, NYC
4-11-2006
Camp Freddy recently returned from New York City, where they joined General Motors in launching the new Saturn convertible car. The band performed three songs outside, in Times Square, on a stage that was 50ft in the air, to an estimated 20,000 people. Traffic was stopped, cops were everywhere, and the performance was screened on the huge Jumbotron screens in Times Square. After the outside event, the band played an hour set inside the Hard Rock.

SPIKE TV AUTOROX
4-7-2006
A quick trip to Vegas for Camp Freddy, to perform the Cheap Trick song, Surrender on the Spike TV AUTOROX Award show. Hosted by Ice Cube and Keifer Sutherland, the band were introduced by Pamela Anderson, and were joined onstage by Velvet Revolvers Duff McKagan. It was the first appearance with new core member, Scott Weiland. The show aired on Spike TV on April 18th. Video from the event can be found at www.6767.com.

TWO HUMPS OR ONE?
12-4-2005
Back to Las Vegas, and this time for Camel Cigarettes. Rumor has it that the bands guitarist, Billy Morrison, upon receiving a bag full of cartons of the Camel brand, has never smiled so much!!! The show was at The Palms Casino, in the club Rain. And it was a packed house that witnessed Warren De Martini (from Ratt) wailing on his hit song, Round And Round and the Alice Cooper classic, I’m Eighteen. Ty Taylor (from Rock Star INXS) singing an amazing version of Whole Lotta Love. And Scott Weiland and Duff McKagan hammering home the STP rocker, Crackerman. Details and guest info in the Events section.

EMPIRE OF THE WRETCHED
10-22-2005
Camp Freddy can never resist an invite to go to Las Vegas. The original Sin City seems to suit the band well!! And so, on October 22nd, the band opened the newest club in the gambling capital, The Empire Ballroom. Joining the usual suspects of Steve Jones, Billy Duffy and Jerry Cantrell, were Gina Gershon (who did a great version of Bowies Queen Bitch), Jani Lane (of Warrant/Cherry Pie fame), who completely rocked Man In The Box, and Pink, who brought the house down with her version of Led Zepp’s Whole Lotta Love. Unfortunately, no other details can be printed here, because as we all know – what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Picture courtesy of Getty Images.
