CAMP FREDDY CLOSE WITH A BANG
12-26-2011
Weeks three and four of the Camp Freddy Roxy residency closed out 2011 for the band in style. On week three, Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top blew everyone away with versions of Hendrix's Foxy Lady and his own Sharp Dressed Man. Also in the line up that night were Guns N Roses drummer Steven Adler, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno and The Cult guitarist Billy Duffy, amongst others. Billy Gibbons celebrated his birthday onstage with the band and received a birthday cake and a rousing version of 'Happy Birthday' from the sold out crowd. The following week was another birthday celebration - this time for Motorhead frontman Lemmy, who closed the show with the Sex Pistols God Save The Queen and his own classic, Ace Of Spades. Billy Gibbons also returned that night, along with Corey Taylor from Slipknot, Scott Ian from Anthrax, Steve Stevens, actor Dominic Monaghan and Mark McGrath. The Golden Ticket photographs are now available by clicking the links below and downloading the picture to your computer. Thank you to everyone for another successful residency and another great year. Here's to 2012 and our TENTH ANNIVERSARY!!

Camp Freddy guitarist Billy Morrison will be guesting with Perez this coming Saturday, Dec 17th at the Red Rock Casino. Perez has finished recording his full length Album 'Addict' TBR 2012 and will be performing material from it on Friday night.

ROXY WEEK ONE REWIND/NYC
12-5-2011
Camp Freddy are back in action with their annual series of shows at the Roxy. All four shows sold out within 48 hours of being announced and the first week opened the 5th annual residency with a huge bang. The capacity crowd at the legendary Sunset Strip club watched as the band opened their set with a monster version of the Frankie Goes To Hollywood classic, 'Relax' and then rocked their way through a set list that culminated with the surprise appearance of Billy Idol. He was joined onstage by Sex Pistol guitarist Steve Jones for a version of the Pistols 'Silly Thing' and the evening came to an end with Idol singing 'LA Woman' and 'Rebel Yell'.

The residency continues next Friday. The band then flew to New York for a private show at The Hudson Hotel the next night and played for over two hours. Highlights included The Cult's 'L'il Devil' with Mark McGrath and Cult guitarist Billy Duffy, versions of Cheap Trick's 'Surrender' and the Stones 'Sympathy For The Devil' with Courtney Love, and a rousing finale of the Guns And Roses classic, 'Paradise City' sung by Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple/Black Country Communion) and Sebastian Bach (Skid Row). Next year will be Camp Freddy's 10 year anniversary and a couple of special celebratory events are being planned. Watch this space. Special thanks to Alan Hess for the photographs. Check out the 'Events' section for all the details.

SOLD OUT!
11-27-2011
The Annual Camp Freddy Residency at the Roxy Theatre is set to begin this coming Friday—and sold out in just 48 hours! No tickets? Stay tuned for all the setlists, recaps and video to come.

From Billy Morrison’s blog : “Well that didn’t take long! 48 hours to be precise. If you didn’t get a ticket, there’s always next year, because we have now officially sold out all four residency shows at The Roxy for December. Now comes the task of putting together the set lists and making sure we blow the roof off the place every night. I know we are all really happy to be headed back to the Roxy for the fifth year in succession – we’ll see some old faces, and hopefully some new ones as well. Come prepared to have a fucking good time – we want to see the place shake. Thanks to all for making it a huge success already and here’s to a good Holiday season on the Sunset Strip.”

SEE YOU THERE!!!
